I made these; they were dry, did not spread; couldn't work the oats into them; added extra vanilla but alas, alack nothing helped! Some ingredients is/are missing--taste was bland and Paula does not make bland food!

Somewhere whoever posted this recipe left things out. I saw Paula use white sugar? I made them and immediately knew after mixing it that something was wrong. I threw out the first batch and added an egg and 1/2 cup sugar to the remaining dough. OMG they were delicious then! I measured exactly right the first time as well. This time I think I will use equal parts brown sugar and white and definitely add the extra egg. Paula you need to fix this!

These cookies were bad, bad, bad ... and I was so disappointed with these "White Chocolate-Coconut Cookies that Paul made and... not like her to make something like this and give the recipe out ... had to throw the whole batch out and what fell on the floor my dog gobbled up" she liked them"... dry, crumbly and tasteless and I followed the recipe to the "tee" ... the recipe went in the shredder ... sorry Paula ... like your other recipes thou with no problems!

I wish I hadn't been in such a rush to bake and had slowed down and thought to read the reviews of this recipe beforehand because I could have saved myself a ruined recipe.

This recipe is absolutely terrible; the cookies have no flavor at all and the texture of a biscuit. I am incredibly disappointed. If Paula wer ehere, I would tell her she ought to be ashamed of herself.

Now I know I shuld just stick to the oatmeal cookie recipe i KNOW is good and add coconut. If I had any desire to give this recipe another go, I'd try the other reviewers suggestions and add an egg and an extra 1/2c of sugar.

After reading all of these reviews, I decided to add 1/2 cup white cane sugar and one extra egg. Cookies flattened nicely and the flavor was great. I will make these unique cookies again!

lesson learned: always read reviews first!!!!

I was looking for a different type of cookie to make for my family ... and these were better than I had hoped for. My specialty is the classic chocolate chip, but I think these may be the competition. I added 1/2c of finely chopped pecans and used reich chocolate ready made icing for dipping. They are melt in your mouth good. I will be making these more often.

After making the cookies I read the reviews. I wish I would have read them before I made them. My cookies, like alot of others, didn't flatten out and were very flaky and crumbly. BUT from the amount of butter VS sugar i could see that. The flavor was not what I expected either.I was not impressed at all with these cookies and this is the first time I have not been happy with a recipe from this sight. I also watched Paula make them on TV and both my daughters agreed that we needed to try them. Greatly saddened after making them.
