This is love on a plate! I think I won my husband's hear with this dish 4 years ago. I am making it again for a special occasion soon.

I have made many meals from this site and I would have to say this recipe was the best!! It was unbelievable and by far one of the easiest as well. Do it exactly how Tyler does and you can't go wrong. In the show he also prepares his ultimate stuffed potato, and my God you have to do this too. Also eat slowly because the juices from the steak, tomatoes, crab salad, and baked potato cheese sauce all come together on the plate by mid meal and it is just mind blowing. I can't wait to make this again.

Tyler me and my children enjoyed the meal, we live in Orlando, FL but are originally from Virginia along the Chesapeake Bay, this recipe took me back I am not a fan of tomatoes, but the roasting made all the difference. I didn't make the salad, will have to try that during another meal (forgot to buy lemons. Thanks so much, this will be a meal we will do AGAIN, and AGAIN!!!!!!

I was in a rather decadent mood, but crab wasn't really going to hit the spot (for the first time EVER!, so I only made the tenderloin and tomatoes and Ina's Grown Up Mac & Cheese as a side. WOW. From now on, Tyler's method will be my primary technique. The steak was wonderfully juicy, flavorful, and tender. I like mine cooked to medium and, by following his cooking time, it came out PERFECT. I absolutely loved the tomatoes. The steak soaked up the tomato juices nicely, but only as a simple compliment, not in an overwhelming manner. The tomatoes accentuated the beef flavor and beef accentuated the tomatoes. Wonderful late summer dinner!

Next time, I will give the crab and arugula a go.

Oh, and Ina's Grown Up Mac and Cheese was fantastic as a side! I know...I should have added some sort of leafy green, but I just didn't feel like it tonight ; As a grown up, sometimes I get to call my own shots and tonight's was all about mac and cheese instead of salad!

This looked so good on the show; so good that my husband actually watched it with me. We made it the first time for our anniversary and it has become our "go to" meal for special times. We put in a little extra chile paste and a little less cilantro but that's our personal taste. The crab salad is even better the next day (we make extra. The tomatos are a perfect compliment.

I made the steak recipe, not the salad, last night for valentines. my husband and I have three kids and cherish cooking a meal together more than going through the hassle of getting a sitter, etc. to just have a good meal. this way we stayed in our p.j.s, put the kids down for bed, and made the most delicious steak. it rivaled any steak house. I will say, our filets were not quite 2 inches thick, so we cut back the cooking time. actually we would have cut it back to about 5 min. in the oven for medium rare, but it was still juicy and delish. I felt like such a pro! Love you Tyler! all your recipes rock! everything is right on every time. P.s. my baby boy loves your Sprout baby food!

The tenderloin was so juicy and tender but I guess it will be if you cook a tenderloin right but the crab salad was out of this world! I love it so much that I will be making it for friends and family. The way Tyler presented it on his show was absolutely beautiful. I paired my tenderloin and crab salad with yellow rice and made an absolutely fabulous presentation myself. Thanks Tyler for the wonderful recipe and for the inspiration to plate mine as beautifully as yours. It was definitely a hit at my house!

One of the duo would be great on it's own, but together they don't work at all.

This combo didn't work for me, either. Both were good, but not together. I guess that's what happens when you get inspired by a Filet Mignon and Lobster dish, but the crab legs are on sale and the lobster is incredibly expensive
