The best chocolate frosting I ever made. So easy and makes enough for a 9" 2 layer cake. I used half & half because I'm too cheap to buy a whole carton of heavy cream for 3 ounces. Half & half works fine and has less fat and calories, so I can have a second piece of cake without feeling guilty. It needed 5 or 6 tablespoons of half & half to get the consistency right.

Way too sweet for my taste... I halved the sugar but it is still too sweet. I only used one coat on one of the layer. Wouldn't make this again.

Really tasty frosting but like many other reviewers I added much more heavy cream than stated to get desired consistency.

This is fantastic. I added a bit more butter and cream to smoothe it out. Will definitely make again. Soooo good.

Delicious! I doubled the heavy cream which made it creamier. Definitely a keeper!

I added more 1T of cream and it needed more. Really creamy and good taste but wish I had made it creamery to go farther. Will do it again!

Delicious, I added whipping cream and then took 1/4-1/3 of frosting and added more whip cream to it for the center of the cake. My new favorite chocolate frosting.

This's the first time I made the frosting, and the tip below was particular helpful. I didn't have heavy cream at hand, the whole milk worked perfectly well. Thanks for the recipe and the tip!

A good recipe, just to chocolatey for my family, next time I will use half of the cocoa, I also used half and half instead of heavy cream.
