I deboned and butterflied the chickens myself, and doing the legs was not that easy so I'm not sure I would have said the recipe is easy unless you have a butcher willing to do the work for you--I do not. Once you do the chickens, the rest is a snap and makes for one flavorful, delicious interesting way to cook chicken. I marinated chickens overnight and served with her herb potato salad also held overnight and the combo was delicious.

I tried this wonderful marinade on split chicken breasts--I just cut the recipe in half for 3 nice-sized breasts. Since we don't have a grill, I baked these at 350 for 45-50 minutes in the oven (I drizzed w/additional oil after marinating. They turned out wonderful...tender, full of flavor. It's probably better to use fresh rosemary as this really lent the unique flavor to the dish.

I Loved this recipe!! It was so easy and fast!! The only thing i suggest is to make sure you use fresh tyme, b/c there grocery store was out the day I made it and has to use the kind from the container and it did not taste the same. The chicken still tasted great just not as good. Enjoy!!

I didn't have fresh rosemary or garlic, so I used dried rosemary and garlic powder. I didn't think it had much flavor; next time I'll use fresh herbs. Also, I butterflied the chicken myself. Type in "how to butterfly a chicken" on google ~ the first result that came up was from "virtual weber bullet" and it was a You Tube video. It was great, and I had no problems butterflying the chicken. Give it a try! You'll feel like a pro!

Tried this recipe over the weekend. The meat dept at my local grocery store could not debone the chicken, so I used chicken thighs. I think many areas do not have a butcher shop in their area to accomidate special recipes. But we enjoyed using the chicken thighs. Both my husband and I enjoyed a new way to prepare chicken. Love that grilled chicken taste.

This marinade is fantastic! This recipe is a keeper, for sure. It is super flavorful without being overpowering. The chicken was tender, as well. My husband and I will put this in our "family favorites" file.

Very flavorful, great summer dish. I can't wait to make it again!
You have to cook it longer than the 12 mins a side - it's more like 13-17 mins a side.
It goes particularly well w/the orzo w/roasted vegetables from the Parties cookbook.
