My son is in the Air Force and when he comes home on leave, he always makes sure I make this for him. He will even buy the prawns! And of course the whole family loves this one. TY Michael!

My husband is allergic to cilantro so I substitute fresh basil. I've made this modified version for several parties and it's always a hit!

I marinate (for the pasta dish I use plain EVOO the shrimp in a plastic zip loc bag & after 1 hour I pour the marinade & the shrimp into my broiling pan. After broiling, I then peel the entire pan of shrimp, toss all the shrimp & marinade (add a little more olive oil at this pointif you want with a pound of cooked pasta & finish off with a grating of fresh parm & this is one of the best pasta dishes you will ever eat! Great Recipe, Thanks!

I noticed one of the reviewers said they couldn't find 'citrus oil' in the store. I recently learned how to make citrus oil from scratch and I'd like to share it with everybody, here's how it goes:
Zest one lemon in one inch strips removing all the white stuff on the back of the peel called 'pith'. Put it in 1/3 cup of extra virgin olive oil in a small sauce pan and heat it about 3 minutes until lemon peel is golden. Remove peel from the oil and use the oil in the recipe!! Double this citrus oil recipe to insure you'll have more than enough for the grilled shrimp recipe which calls for 1/2 cup citrus oil. hope this helps!!
    Great grilled shrimp recipe!!

This has become a signature / staple dish at my house. It gets rave reviews every time I serve it.
One recipe note: I substitute at least 1/2 of the mayo with low fat Greek yogurt (and a little extra lemon juice to thin the sauce if nec. The yogurt is much healthier and it adds a wonderful tangy flavor!

I looked at the ingredients and I knew it would be terrific...and it was. I usually peel the shrimp before I cook them, no matter how I prepare them but they definitely were better grilled with the shells on. I made my own version of the aioli the day before and called people the next day to ask how they liked it. (I forgot to serve it! I was told the shrimp were perfect without.
