She is a real woman! Down to earth, not a snobby chef. I cannot WAIT to try this recipe this weekend! I agree with all the comments about showing you how and also that she is "hand washing" conscious.
The only complaint I have is that she uses "the whole shootin match" a little too often.
    BRING ON MORE ANNE!

I made this using a young chicken. The bake time was 35 minutes and I probably should have checked it at 30. The recipe directions don't instruct you to brown it on the stovetop first as Anne did in her show, so be sure to do that. That is why the cook time is shorter than normal. I marinated the chicken overnight. The skin came out crisp and a beautiful mahogony color and the chicken picked up all the flavors in the marinade.

Thanks so much Anne! I made this and the roasted potatoes you did on the show for dinner tonight for the Hubs and I - we both loved it! My mother will be here in a week for a visit- I intend on impressing her with this and I'm going to give your bolognese a shot during the same visit!

This was absolutely fantastic. This recipe spoke to my inner Julia! Not only was it great fun to make, but the results were superb! My husband was not a fan of cornish hens and absolutely loved this! Just when I was tiring of the "next food network star" show - along comes Anne Burrell who is a breath of fresh air to the food network! She is smart, talented and entertaining! I'd like to see much more of her on the weekends! She educates the viewer and gives off such an infectious vibe that inspires me to get in my kitchen right away get cooking. I was really getting bored with the Food Network, but now I have something to look forward to! Thank you Anne!

I don't have a frying pan big enough to hold Cornish game hens. For those of you that have used a chicken, how big was it and how much longer did you have to cook it in the oven? Thanks!

I made this last night with a chicken instead of cornish hens and my husband was just blown away by how delicious it was. The skin was delicious and brown, the meat was so juicy and the sauce was rich and flavorful. I also made the other 2 recipes from the episode and served the potatoes with the chicken. Just a stunning meal, easy but delicious enough for company. I will make this again and again.

I found that the receipt that was on your website left out a very important step = namely, leave the checken in the pan to brown really well BEFORE you put it in th oven. I have found that you have messed up other receipts as well - Paula Deans Checken Fried Steak was really messed up.
That aside - this is a wonderful receipt. I subed a whole small checken (a higt quality one rather than Game Hens - came out wonderful. Anne Burrell is really a great cook - one of the best that you have. Put her on prime time and give her more episodes.

It irritates me that her show is only on once a week! She is by far the best chef FN has, as well as the most entertaining and educational. I have not had a bad result yet with one of her recipes. I think this is due to the fact that she teaches not only the recipe but the techniqes. Get that sorry Sandra off FN, and lets see more of Anne! I am trying this recipe tonight- the chicken has been marinating all day and smells AMAZING!!!!

I loved this recipe! Made it for my husband and myself for Sunday dinner. It was easy to prepare, didn't require any ingredients that I didn't have on hand and was delicious. I love Anne and like to watch her show. She is very funny, entertaining, very knowledgeable, and makes everything easy to understand and not at all intimidating. Keep it up Anne. I am going to try all of your recipes in time. You make eating iat home almost as good as eating at a restaurant.....not quite as good because I have to do it myself.
