I used tilapia since I didn't have cod and they turned out great! I thought if I made them in stick shape, my daughter would like them because they'd be "fish sticks" and she did!! We will definitely have these as a family meal again! I'm anxious to try freezing too!

This is my first time to rate a recipe out here but decided I had to after the rave review I got from my husband after cooking this last night. He normally does not care what he eats and doesn't make comments on food. After cooking this last night he actually commented that it was really good and I should make it again! I did add an extra egg using suggestions I saw on other reviews. My gravy also did not thicken so I'll add more flour also next time. It was really good though even leftover for lunch today!

I used tuna (not canned instead of cod and used 2 eggs, but still had problems with crumbling. But I must say it was an amazing dinner for us. Thanks, Rach, for another winner!

These were very tasty. I found they took me alot longer than 1/2 an hour. There was alot of prep work. My patties stayed together fine with one egg and browned up nicely. My gravy didn't really thicken tho so next time I would add a little more four but it gave the whole meal alot of flavour. Definately a keeper though.

I just made this tonight and it was a hit! I was told that it tasted as if it were made by a restaurant! The only thing I had to change was I didn't have any fresh thyme so I used dried thyme. It was still tasty! The spinach mashers were awesome too!

I thought these croquettes were absolutely delicious. I also added an extra egg, it just didn't seem to bind well with only one. It was a bit of work, I did the spinach mashed potatoes too, but well worth it. I omitted the gravy, as no one but me likes red peppers...tasted great with a side of tartar. The Old Bay seasoning and fresh tarragon made these taste so close to a crab cake, but alot less expensive!
I used barely 6 oz of fresh spinach in potatoes and found it to be enough--it was delicious! Great meal and one I'm sure to make more often! Thanks Rachel!
