Easy and big hit with company. I put them in a deep fryer.

It's not exactly an easy recipee for a beginner. Prep your ingredients before you start cooking anything so that you can stay focused when the cooking begins. I made this dish for my husband's birthday and everyone loved it, even his friend who "doesn't like seafood."

I don't eat much fish, but this recipe was great! Like others, I did add an extra egg to help patties stick together. Also, my local market didn't have fresh cod, so I used tilapia, which worked out great. I didn't use quite as much spinich as Rachel in the potatoes. This recipe was a winner and will definitely be cooked again!

My husband and I are currently on a low carb diet, so I decided to make just the cod croquettes - and try it without any bread crumbs. I knew it would be tricky to get them to hold together at all, but it worked. I cut the recipe in half, because I only had 1/2 a lb. of cod - but put in the whole egg. When frying the croquettes, I fried them two at a time. I put two little mounds of the cod mix into the pan and flattened them out. There was enough egg to hold them together and withstand the flip - if you're gentle. When you're looking for anything that's different on a low carb diet, these were quite tasty!

I tried this recipe and added a 2nd egg for a binder based upon the feedback on the website regarding the difficulty people had w/ making the croquettes.

The cod turned out beautifully. Great recipe. I will try again.

The only downside is that there was a huge amount of chopping. It took me an hour to make because of all the chopping.

Rachael was right. I am not a fan of seafood, but I did not even taste it in this dish. Everything was great. I was sceptical of the mashed potatoes becasue of the spinach, but they were good too.

These tasted even better than I hoped - so delicious, especially with the gravy! But there were too many steps; they were pretty work intensive, so I may not make them again, unless it's for company.

Made this dinner for a small group of friends.........it was delicious, but a bit salty for our taste. Next time, I'll use Low-Sodium Chicken Stock in the sauce and less in the Cod mixture. I had no problems with the croquettes sticking together. Will definitely make them again.

although the croquettes don't really stay together that well.
