I loved it! I enjoy watching Barefoot Contessa make all these delicious meals but the Panna Cotta with Balsamic Strawberries looked very easy and tasty to make. I now have a few family members wanting to learn how to make this dessert!
    Thank You! Enjoy:

So easy to make! It's a delicious and impressive dessert to serve. I did not have a vanilla bean so substituted with vanilla yogurt.
Ina's recipes always turn out fantastic.

I didn't care for the addition of the yogurt in the recipe. I've made several panna cottas in the past and this was my least favorite. Tasted more like yogurt than a true dessert. For all the calories you're consuming, I just didn't think it was worth it.

Strawberries were just OK. Didn't think it was great.

I'm a bit perplexed about this recipe. I've heard of panna cotta and was looking forward to trying it. The dessert was good but I felt like I could get almost the same effect with a good vanilla yogurt, and for far less work! But it is a simple and lovely dessert.

Panna cotta is one of the best kept secrets of Italian cuisine, and here Ina uses it well. It can be paired with many different fruits. An Italian favorite is Amarene cherries, but strawberries with balsamic vinegar are far more accessible. Ina rocks!
