These little treats are soooo good, but I had a hard time getting mine to just fall out of the pan as I saw Giada's do on TV (I even went heavy on the no-stick spray. I had to use a knife and pop them out one by one - which is why they got 4 starts and not 5. Otherwise, they are super simple and yummy. I've also made them with pecans instead of almonds and they are tasty, but I think the recipe works better with the almonds because of their texture.

Toasted almonds, cut caramels, made sure the pan was properly greased, watched them in the oven to no avail. They still came out to hard to get out of the pan.

I tried to make this. First, I didn't put enough oil in the pans, so the carmel would not pop out. But, that was my fault.

Then, when I added the cream to the chocolate, it would not harden as well.

So, two things I would do is make sure really really grease the pans well. Then don't add the cream to the chocolate, just melt and coat.

Make sure you don't toast the almonds before adding the caramel, my sister and I did and the caramel then burnt.. the clusters were savable but barely.

These turned out really well and were so fun to put together! These seem great to just have around all the time but fancy enough for a party too. The semisweet chips make them sweet and rich, while the white makes them more buttery. yum!
