I had a small piece before my teenage daughter and her friends ate all of the bars and then asked me to make more. Good, good, good!

very disapointed, i made this so well i thought is going to be good, the bottom layer was very very dry, but the top is good. next time i will change the bottom layer recipe....i use sweetened chocolate still dry....

I was really disapointed in this recipe. The bottom layer was bitter and really needed more sugar. I wonder if the recipe was printed wrong. I spent a lot of money to get the ingredients for this recipe. I will not make this again. The topping was tasty though.

I have to admit that the cookie part was a little bitter for me and it is my opinion and my taste not everyone is the SAME . And NO you don't add more sugar for unsweeten chocolate, you would follow the recipe exactly. Also I made it again with semi-sweet chocolate and it tasted a lot less bitter. JUST MY OPINION!!! I still loved the desert. And love Sunny.

Your recipe is great!!!!
The first time my daughter and I made this, we were baking up a storm for a bakesale for our church. Instead of cooking the glaze from scratch, we got a prepared german chocolate cake frosting from the store. It was wonderfull. We are making this for my husband for Father's Day. He is a choco-holic and loves german chocolate frosting. I have a feeling he will hoard it!!
