OMG--This was the best soup ever. just can't understand the low ratings. Done in 5 minutes and I had to give out recipes after dinner. The curry is the bomb in this recipe.. a little spice. The sour cream on top is a must to cool the spice. Love it , Love it, Love it...Thanks so much for this recipe.BTW-used the v-8 brand and it was great.

People, people! You use Imagine (brand Butternut Squash Soup, which by itself is to die for and is usually in the health food section of your grocery store. This just cranks it up to a 15!

The Imagine brand is also dairy free, so those of us who cannot have dairy can enjoy this soup topped with Tofuti sour cream, which tastes just like the dairy sour cream.

I could get addicted to this soup.

I couldn't find the Cambell's soup, so I used V8. Not sure if it was the brand of soup or the recipe, but this was really gross. I tried to alter it while cooking it, using recommendations from the comments, but was unable to salvage it. I'd suggest trying a different recipe.

I believe the best way to make this recipe worth while is to stick to the main ingredient-the box of soup. A waste of time. If you want quick, open the box don't bother with the rest.

This is not a bad recipe. Everyone has different tastes. One of the great things about a semi-homemade recipe is that people can omit some ingredients and substitute others.

This soup for example, might not be everyone's cup of tea. When I tried it, I didn't have the Campbells' brand of butternut squash soup. The only thing I could find was the V8 brand. And I don't like curry powder in anything. I prepared this soup as the recipe instructed except I substituted cayenne pepper for the curry powder, ground cinnamon for the pumpkin pie spice, and omitted the ketchup. I figured the applesauce would have the right amount of sweetness without adding ketchup. The soup came out SO good.

I made this soup thinking that it would be something different and marry together the flavors of sweet and spicy. I was WRONG. This was bar none the worst soup that I have ever eaten. I made it exactly as the recipie stated, it was terrible. I had my mom taste it and she thought the same thing. We tried adding different things to mask the flavors, but all we got was really bad sweet ketchup. YUCK!!!

This was fine for a quick soup. I normally don't defend recipes, but is so sad to see such poor manners with some of the reviewers. If you don't like the recipe, rate it low. There is simply no need to attack someone personally.

I tune into Sandra on occasion like I tuned into grade c horror movies as a kid. It's almost unbelievable that anyone takes her seriously, that is with the exception of her accountant. The thing is that she probably never has to eat the garbage she makes with all the money she makes.

I added some cooked, sliced chicken thighs to this recipe. I found it yummy, quick, and easy! My "steak and potatoes" husband tolerated it, and my hungry two year old refused to touch it. This is perfect for those who like trying new things and appreciate uniqueness. This might not be the best choice for a family with a wide variety of tastes. But I liked it. :
