I was already browning my turkey meat this evening to make sloppy joes for dinner when I realized that I didn't have a can of Manwich in my pantry. I recalled seeing this recipe on the food network website earlier this week... I had all the ingredients I needed right in my pantry. I substituted the tomato sauce for a can of condensed tomato soup, tasted great to me. I went easy on the brown sugar... I was a little leary. Anyways, this is a good go-to... probably won't use Manwich again!

Used this as a topping on hot dogs instead of buying the canned or frozen stuff. Delicious.

These BBQ's were great! The flavor was excellent and all with ingredients I had onhand! I used ketchup instead of tomato sauce and I left out the hotdogs. The spice combination is perfect! Way to go Rachel! This is a home run at my house.

These were so good, I joined this site just so I could add a review. My husband requested Sloppy Joe's, so I went on my journey to find a "fun" recipe. This one looked the most unique, so I figured I'd try it. Rachel's recipes rarely let me down... So these were perfect. I used chicken hotdogs, spicy steak seasoning, and Mexican-style hot chili powder. This is the only recipe I'll ever use again. I never liked Sloppy Joe's before, and now I'm already looking forward to the next time I can have some Sloppy Joe Di Maggio's!!!

We made this to enjoy for the Belmont races and everyone loved it. I might reduce the salt just a bit and may add a touch of vinegar or lemon juice next time I make it for a little added tang.

Not a fan of the sloppy joe. Grew up in the 70's mom made Manwhich? Yuk! As an adult and mother swore I would never do that to my family. But, Rachael you re-invented the joe. This was a big hit! My son loved them as did the whole family. To my surprise I liked them too.
Thanks again. I am no longer making the same old same old.

What a breeze to make. Everyone from the old parents to my husband loved the taste, texture, and uniqueness. Highly recommended for outside functions and childrens events.
