I made this last night with a roasted cornish game hen and it really added a lot to the dinner. I steamed Uncle Ben's Long Grain and Wild Rice instead of what the recipe called for, mostly because I really like the flavor. After reading some of the other posts I decided to build the rice mixture to my taste rather than following the recipe amounts exactly. This worked out much better for us since we prefer less red onion and basil in the overall flavor of the rice. The dressing we really enjoyed and used the rest the next night on a green salad. It has a real tang which was a nice change. I think next time I will use toasted walnuts. Overall a good recipe and will make again.

Great way to kick off the new year! This was a great recipe with lots of flavor. My husband really enjoyed it as well. Bet it gets better the next day. Would make this to entertain at a summer BBQ. Loved the wild rice, red onion, pistachios and basil together..

This salad was delicious and the dressing complimented it perfectly. Didn't put all the dressing on at once. My husband loved it and wanted more. Thanks for such a great show Ellie.

This is my go-to recipe. I have made it several times and always get compliments. And that it's healthy is an extra bonus.

This was delicious! My husband loved it too. The only thing I might do next time is cut the recipe in half. Since the receipe recommends it only keeps for a day or 2, I ended up tossing some of it. I would also add a few additional oranges. Overall, this will definitely become a lunch favorite!

This salad is so delicious and healthy!! I doubled the amount of orange zest and basil leaves for extra flavor. I used toasted pine nuts instead of the pistachios. I also used green onion tops (scallions instead of red onion. This salad has fantastic flavor. I'll make it again and again.

This salad is truly addicting. Out of all the recipes on this segment I didn't think I'd like this one. Honestly, it turned out to be my favorite! Thanks Ellie!

This salad is great as a side-dish or stand-alone. You can even leave out the pistachios and it is equally as good.

I had to change it a little because of ingredients on hand. I did add two teaspoons of honey to the dressing after reading the reveiws of another viewer. I had to use slivered almonds "toasted" and mint leaves instead of basil. My husband flipped over how good it was. I say was, because is was gone the next day!!

This salad satisifies for a summer lunch and supper. It can be done and served chilled, or at room temperature.
I would also enjoy this salad with a simple, salt and pappered pan seared wild salmon steak, finished off in a hot oven with a smal drizzle of Emeril's hollandaise sause with extra lemon in the sauce added at the table.
