I followed the recipe exactly - except I made it an appetizer. Instead of Texas Toast I used the little party rye breads - toasted them exactly the same in the bacon drippings. And topped them the delicious ingredients that are called for. Easy and delicious!

We tried it tonight and really enjoyed it. My wife just loved it, while I liked it and wondered if I'd love it with a bit less mayo. Actually, I used Miracle Whip. Here is an example of ignorance, how much different is Miracle Whip from Mayo?? Would it have made a difference in this recipe.
