I tried this recipe with my family and they loved it. Kids and all. I cubed the papaya and avocado and changed the dressing alittle bit by adding homeade italian dressing. As another way to service this dish I also cut up a variety of fresh tomatoes and it was just as delicious. I think next time I will try some procuitto in it.

I made this salad for a salad bar at work. There were a lot of requests for the recipe. People's comments centered on the colorful presentation and the dressing.

Maybe my papaya wasn't ripe enough but I wasn't crazy about this one. The avocado and dressing was great-just not the papaya.

I used more lime juice to make it more tangy (wich there was a measured amount since limes vary greatly in size and substitued mango for papaya. Easy to make. Fresh, tangy and interesting flavor combination.

I cannot say enough about how great this salad is. We friends over last minute and I whipped up this salad with a few other appetizers and it was a HUGE hit. Will need to try it with mango next time.

My husband suggested we try this salad after watching Giada make it on tv. We weren't really sure we liked papaya. We tried the papaya while we were making the salad and found it kind of of tasteless. When we put it all together, much to our surprise it was amazing. The papaya was sweet and very tasty. Wonderful easy salad.

This was wonderful, even my husband loved it. It is so refreshing. My grocery store did not have any papaya's so I used mango and it tasted wonderful.

i loved it. i myself, held a romantic light dinner with my husband by the pool. it was for my first anniversery.we had not been on a honeymoon cause my hubby was sick. so this makes up for it... i made this salad, and it was so sweet and tangy, i loved it. i used papaya, mango, avacado, and cantalope, and watermelon! i used watermelon on the side of the dish so it seems more refreshing! it sure was! the mango goes perfect with avacados too! please try it. this salad sure put my husband into a better romantic mood.. ;] talk about a good poolside fun!

I made this in a pinch!. here i have enormous papayas so, using only half a papaya was enough, i also used two mangos as well as the avocado... this was completly refreshing and all the flavors worked perfectly!! will definitly make again and tell my mom about it!
