I came home one day to my hunny making this meatloaf (he found this recipe in my stack of "need to make" and I have to say, I LOVED it! It reminded me exactly of my Grandma's meatloaf growing up. The best part is, its easy enough that a guy (who refuses to cook anything that isn't on a grill can make it! I'm not not the biggest fan of horseradish but it really makes the flavor pop so don't hold back on it.

Excellent! I added a little extra horseradish and my husband absolutely loved it. The best he has ever tasted.

I've made this a few times now and it never fails me! We like 1/2 beef, 1/2 ground pork, and I go with a tablespoon of horseradish. (Personal preference. Great for supper and absolutely wonderful for sandwiches.

Meatloaf is a two fold adventure, first there are many recipes as in spaghetti sauce and also easy to come up very ordinary. As a former restaurant owner and chef meatloaf was not an easy thing to please all the people. Thia ONE ROCKS! Made only a few changes. I use fresh ground chuck always and for this one I moistened with a little beef broth, about 1/3 cup.Added an extra 1 Tsp. horshradish due to personal taste and used panko bread crumbs. Did not use the ketchup topping again for personal taste and cooked with about 1/3 cup beef broth in the losf pan. ABSOLUTELY A WINNER!!

I used this recipe to make meatloaf for the first time. I didn't have horseradish or Worcestershire sauce. Instead I added a chopped red pepper to have an extra veggie and seasoned it with garlic salt, pepper, old bay, and a season blend(perfect pinch. I covered it with bbq sauce and ketchup 10 min into baking. It was still soft so I had to cook it for 30 min longer. I made meatloaf sandwich with the leftovers. So this is a pretty affordable meal.

This is the best "old fashioned" meatloaf recipe I have found over the years. It never fails to garner compliments from my family. Recommend it highly!
