    EUREKA - for years, my siblings and I have been trying to find the recipe my mother made. We never thought to have her copy down her recipe because we thought she would be with us forever. Sadly, dimentia set in early and we never got some of the wonderful recipes she prepared. Word to the wise - get your recipes NOW. Anyway, Paula - you are a dear. She now lives on through this recipe. Thanks so much!

    This was one of the best cakes I've ever made! The cake is moist and buttery. The filling is out of this world. But the frosting really wins the prize. It tastes almost like pralines, especially if you top the cake with pecans. This will be my standard cake recipe from now on.

    I am not a usually a baker but after watching the show...I need to try this cake. It turned out wonderful! I will be making this again and again for special occaisions!

    This cake took more time than I thought to prepare, but it is yummy; my family has gobbled it up. One problem I had is that when I took the cake out of the oven, one of the layers was sinking in the middle. By the time it had cooled a little bit, all three layers had "sunk" or collapsed in the middle. What did I do wrong?

    Better than the Caramel Cake recipe I've used for my own favorite birthday cake since I was a teenager back in Mississsippi... Kick Butt Good!

    Holy Cow Batman! 5 Sticks of butter... talk about dying happy! 10 servings per cake will be 1/2 stick of butter per person! But ooooooh the flavor and texture of this cake makes it all worth the risk!
