I had some outstanding Hass avocados that I wanted to make a salad with when I came across this recipe. I used 1 1/2 ruby red grapefruit, 2 avocados and half of the dressing. It made a lovely presentation and tasted wonderful. I especially think that it would be great on a warm summer night. Thanks Ina!

this recipe was very intriguing to me. i was a little nervous to take the first bite... and it was so so so good! you really should try it! i think taking grapefruit the way of salty, rather than sweet, is really a good idea. both my seven year old and five year old like this dish. my husband doesn't like grapefruit and he liked it as well. we chopped everything a little smaller to make it sort of a salsa and scooped it up with blue corn tortilla chips. what a refreshing and healthy spin on our usual chips and salsa appetizer!

I LOVE grapefruits. I LOVE avacados. And I LOVE this vinaigrette. But, together, they didn't do anything for me. The combo was just a bit off for me.

It sounded good. I love grapfruits and avacados. The dressing is good; i've used it before. But together, it was odd. I cannot quite put my finger on it. I think either the sweet or the saly didnt stand up to the other. My avacados and grapfruit were both ripe. I think i'm just not a fan of these textures and flavors together. I say try it yourself before serving it to others.

The combination of salty dressing, tangy grapefruit and soft avocado is terrific! I have served this at many a dinner party and hear only raves!

My mouth was still watering after I ate this salad. Most excellent. Gotta buy more avacados. I used ruby red grapefruit also. This will be great for the summer at the camper.

I made this salad today for Thanksgiving. I just wanted something different and light. My family really enjoyed it.... especially my neices. Thanks for a easy and tasty salad.
