This was very yummy and easy to make, and biting into that sage rolled up in there added very good flavor.

The family loved it! Great for a Sunday dinner. I used chicken stock instead of wine (my children to not care for wine based sauces. We had a side pasta with lemon and sage butter to complement the chicken with salad and crusty bread. Will definitely add to our rotation.

This was very easy to make and so delicious. We had plenty of left over sauce that I plan to use later this week over pasta. My 6, 4 and 2 year olds loved it as well. I always have sage growing in my garden and the fresh sage in this recipe really adds a pop of flavor in each bite. We ate this with a side salad and a loaf of french bread and it was a complete meal!
As usuall - another Giada recipe I'll cook again and again! Thanks Giada!

I made this for my husband and now it's a staple in our house. My grocery was out of fresh sage so I settled for the dry rubbed sage and it was so delicious that now I'm scared to try the fresh sage! The sauce was perfect and needed nothing (which is rare in my house. I love all of Giada's recipes but so far this is my favorite! The fontina and sage together are so amazing!

Made this for my hubby a few months ago, but I also experimented with the flavors, and used a variety of combinations of herbs on each roll. The Sage roll was best liked by both of us- even though I used a healthy portion of dried sage instead of the fresh sage rolls. I am considering making these for X-mas for my family, but still would use the dried sage. If I have fresh sage leaves, I may fry them and serve them on top of the chicken. The sauce also is very delicate and flavorful and my hubby who is so picky abt store bought sauces liked it a lot. I have kept my eyes peeled for these San Marzinetta (sp? tomatoes ever since. I'm learning that Giada's palate is one to be trusted and I can usually get good reviews by following her recipes at home. Thanks!

I made this for my girl friend on our 3rd aniversary. It was pretty easy and we loved it. I had to use rubbed sage instead and i only used a pinch as advised by other reviewers(thanx. Also, after i fried the garlic, i threw it in the blender with the tomatoes...Wicked good.
    Thanx Giada.
PS. The few ppl that had negative comments must not be cooking this correctly. I follow recipes as guidelines rather than exact replication, since we all have different tastes.

Definitely used more garlic and sauteed some onions before pouring the pureed tomatoes. This was a hit with my hubby. served it with some knorr rice side! Will be making more soon! And san marzano tomatoes are usually in the specialty food section in most grocery stores. Walmart doesn't have it.

I had my husband's childhood friend drop by and stay for dinner. He happens to be a real 'Foody', so I like to try and impress him if I can. I made this chicken with basil instead of sage, just because that's all I had that was fresh. They loved it!. Even kept hearing about it the day after. I made Tyler's Ultimate Scallopped Potatoes Au Gratin, which was also a hit. My husband always swears that he hate Scallopped potatoes, but he loved these. Served it will grilled grape tomatoes and asparagus. I didn't use the SanMarsano tomatoes as I could find them so I just used regular canned tomatoes. This chicken recipe is easy and very yummy.

This recipe looked so good I had to attempt to make it. I used chicken broth instead of the wine and I used a lot of onion powder in my tomato and red pepper flake mixture. The mixture was not bland at all. I also used Gouda cheese because my grocery store did not have the Fontina. I also used rubbed sage. I think this dish was delicious and I will make again.
