We also found it extremely bland and boring. It really needs some acid to perk it up. Lemon juice maybe. Also might benefit from some fresh herbs. Bu them it would be a new recipe, I guess.

I would not recommend wasting extra virgin olive oil on this recipe. Plus it's flavor clashes with the edamame. You need to use a neutral tasting oil, and not very much.

If the edamame isn't done in 4 minutes, cook it longer. It's supposed to be crisp though.

This is a wonderful dish. My children even enjoyed it. I did not use canola oil I used evoo instead.

I made this after watching the show. I had high expectations for this but found it to be bland and the emamame was way undercooked. Sorry Sandra.

I really enjoyed this dish! It was an easy satisfying side dish. Mine wasn't too oily at all.

I would reduce the amount of oil to 1 tsp, or omit it altogether and use cooking spray. I would also extend the cooking time a great deal. The dish improved vastly when it browned. If not so oily I think it would have been pretty good.

I tried this for lunch today since I had all the ingredients. I was amazed how simple but tasty this was. This is another way to eat edamme besides just steaming. I'll be making again as a side dish with dinner. I have tried several of Sandra's money saving recipes and they have been really good. Thanks Sandra!
