This steak sandwich was excellent. It was simple to make with restuarant quality. The mustard mayo and carmelized onion was the best compliment.

This is a very easy to make sandwich, the trick is do not over cook the steak.

I tweaked this recipe some but the core ingredients are great. I did this sandwich panini style using sour dough bread, steak, provolone, caramelized onions, and the mustard mayo mix. I brushed the exterior sides of the bread with a good bit of olive oil and layered mustard mayo, provolone, steak, onions, provolone, and let it cook at 325 for about 8 minutes on a press. I put an arugula salad on the side and it was a perfect meal. My only suggestion to those making this is to make the mustard mayo a day ahead of time so the flavors meld together, otherwise it tastes like straight up mustard. The excess we had left over goes great on burgers. Definitely a keeper!

My husband loved this sandwich. The whole recipe works together perfectly. As others suggested, I did add about a tsp. of horseradish to the sauce. I also added orange bell peppers to the grilled onion mix. Usually on nights when we need dinner in a hurry, I might make french dipped sandwiches but, this sandwich was a wonderful change (and not any more work. We will definitely be having this again.

Absolutely one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The steak was so tender and the mustard mayo was a perfect compliment. Definately makes a great lunch!

My husband and two teens loved this! We are wimps, so I cooked a little longer so meat a little less rare.

This sandwich was great. I was hesitant to try the Mustard Mayo but that stuff is delicious and I can see myself using it on so many other sandwiches.
