I made this as a special lunch for my husband after a long work week. It was easy and I didn't feel like I'd spent days in the kitchen. He felt like a million bucks.

i made this for my boyfriend and i and it was so delicious, its one of those dishes where once you have made it they will want it all the time...and its easy to make..my bakery did not have regular focaccia bread so i got the one with cheese on it and it was still great.

This is quick and easy and tastes great. Perfect for lunch or a light dinner! I'm not a huge mustard fan but love this spread.

Saw the show and decided to try the recipe. This is a great, quick and easy meal that impresses even the most finicky eater. I will cut my cooking time down 2 minutes for medium rare. I also will use a good toasted white bread. The ciabata was just too much. Invest in some good meat. Its worth it!

Another winner from Ina. This sandwich was a huge hit at my house. As for those who perpetually fret about calories in Ina's recipes, I have two words for you: portion control. I own all of Ina's cookbooks and can always count on her recipes to please my friends and family. My reputation as a cook is largely due to her cookbooks and the tips I've learned from her show. I'm sorry for the narrow lives and small worlds inhabited by the people who use this review space as a forum to critique the personal appearance of Ina and other Food Network personalities.

In response to "Anonymous" comment about Ina. I think she is truly lovely. I wish I had her complexion and beautiful hair.
She has an easy going, carefree spirit, a wonderful talent, a beautiful home in the Hampton and an absolutely adorable husband who so obviously dotes on her. She has it all. We should all be so lucky. And, she is one of my most favorite chefs and I love her recipes!!!!

This recipe was great. The mustard mayo went surprisingly well with the steak and arugula combination. Followed the direction exactly for the steak and it turned out great. All I have to say is.. YUMMY.

Our New York steaks were over an inch thick. After the 1min per side searing, I set the timer for 6mins. The recipe called for 7-10mins, but we like our meat medium/rare, so to be on the safe side, I took it off after 6mins on the low flame. The meat was well done.

The recipe calls for the onion rings to cook for 10mins on a medium flame. After 15, ours were still white. It took about 20mins for them to be caramelized.

The mayo dressing was great. We left out the sour cream and added some garlic. It was delicious.

Next time I will not trust the recipes for cooking times. They weren't even in the ballpark.
