the berry compote was an excellent addition to pancakes. Brought it to a family brunch and it was a hit. the basil and lemon gave it a very fresh flavor.

I didn't think pancakes could be too much different from each other. I have been proven wrong. This recipe will be our Saturday morning pancake recipe.

I will never buy pancake mix in a box again. Sorry Jemima! I promised the family pancakes this morning and got ready to cook when I noticed we were out of mix. So instead of heading to the store in my PJ's, I searched for a simple recipe and boy did I find it!!! The family could definitely tell the difference. I didn't make the compote but I did add some fried apples in the mix. Perfect Recipe!!! Can't wait for next Saturday Morning!!!

The thought of pancakes does not excite me......however, I wanted to make a nice Sunday breakfast for myself and my boyfriend. I made this recipe.....and wow!..........I did add a splash of lemon juice to the batter.....and for the berries I only had strawberries......i added a some orange juice while the berries were cooking........this is a recipe I will make again and again!
