Poppy Seed Noodles is a traditional Hungarian dish that both my grandmas made. The poppy seed was ground first and then added to buttered noodles. You don't really have to add too much butter to the noodles because we always topped it with a drizzle of honey. Brings back great memories of my grandma's cooking!

I wasn't crazy about the poppy seeds on noodles. I know Paula gets criticized for use of use of butter, but 4 TBS was not sufficient for a pound of noodles. Buttered noodle are delicious but not anything special as written.

Oh my gosh! This recipe is the bomb!! I was just searching the site for a good fried chicken recipe and I clicked on this because Paula Deen is one of my favorite chefs of all time. It was so super easy to make too! But, to give it a kick, I added about a cup of Italian Syle bread crumbs and about a teaspoon of chili powder. It just gives it that zing it needs. I absolutely love this recipe!! I would recommend this recipe to all of my friends and family. It's our new family favorite!! :] A+++++
