My hubby liked it because it really wasn't too sweet. I think I'd stick with something a bit more "cobbler-ish" if I was going to pit a pound of cherries again in the future.

I've been trying my hand on clafoutis for ages, using recipes from great pastry chefs, but I never come close to a good clafoutis recipe like ones I sampled in France, until now. Annie's is brilliant! I wasn't expecting that much, after a lot of disappointment with several "5 stars recipes", but it was a good surprise when the clafoutis came out of the oven looking like a pro food photo. Tastes good too. I used top stove toasted almond meal, which imparted a lovely flavour to this already good recipe.

Love Anne and her recipes! I miss her growl. I guess they told her it was scary. I wish she was on late afternoons to supplement RR and wake us up! It's nice to have real chefs like Anne instead of the manufactured food network stars. I remember great shows like Melting Pot. They are so concerned these days with appealing to the masses that it lowers the bar.
