Dry and tasteless. Recipe really needs some serious tweaking for me. Going to cut slab of whats left and grill it with Velveeta on top.

My kids will never allow a "box" of mac and cheese in this house ever again! My family now has to have this at every holiday get together!! Thanks!! I did increase the milk to 1 1/4 cup it makes it creamier, and that's the way my kids love it. I also use Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese. I am about to make it for our Thanksgiving dinner!!

I make this for every Thanksgiving. I add just a little breadcrumbs on top.

This was so bland. I like flavor and from the reviews I was expecting some. I followed the recipe but didnt have sour cream, so I used cream cheese. I love them both, so I was hoping it would taste good. I also decreased the egg, because I dont like eggs, but I do love cheese so I added extra. I used 2% milk. The consistency was casserole-like. I was hoping for creamy, but no dice. I wont be making this again. Oh and don't forget to spray the bottom, it stuck to my dish.

It was great. I cheated and added extra cheese (gouda and increased the milk to a full cup as well as a full cup of the sour cream. I decreased the egg by one and didn't bake it but just kept stirring it on the stove for a creamy consistency. Thanks for the start Paula!

This was fabulous - as is... and no changes. My plan yesterday was to omit a couple eggs, use evaporated milk instead of regular etc.etc. Then I got delayed at something and my 18 year old daughter, who came home from college this weekend, (yay! took it upon herself to make it. She's a very new cook so she followed Paula's recipe to a 'T' (with the exception of an extra cup or so of extra sharp cheese! I was skeptical that she used all those eggs etc. but it turned out GREAT. My husband, (who likes nothing usually LOVED this. My nine year old son ate half the pan! The egg, sour cream, butter and milk mixture kind of mimics a creamy, 'cheesy' like texture... it didn't seem like egg at all to me and it certainly wasn't dry or bland. Anyway... enjoy - try it Paula's way first, it's simply good.

My family loves this dish. We never make any other kind of mac and cheese at our house.
