Easy. Delicious. Made as written but no goat cheese--not a fan. Not watery, not too salty, just right. In my own bowl, I did give a few shakes of Frank's hot sauce--yum, yum. Also like Sunny's version....the paprika. Next time, I'm going to combine the two.

Outstanding and very easy to make. I used a shallot instead of an onion and it tempered the flavor. Big hit!

Nice soup. Had my first bowl warm, it is good at any temperature. Real nice to take to work, no need to worry about heating it up at lunchtime. Added bonus of low fat/calorie without any cream products in it; except for the goat cheese. This soup is an extra bonus for me since I grow my own asparagus. I generally make soups without potatoes to cut back on carbs, however, I do think this recipes benefits from the potato. I estimated the total calories at under 300 per serving.

First of all, it was enough for 10 not 6.
I tripled the garlic but it was pretty bland and too watery. Will cook some more potatoes tonite (to thicken and add more seasoning, maybe some cumin. I hope Anne reads these reviews. I love her show.

This tasted really good hot or cold, with or without goat cheese! AND it was very easy! Will make this on a regular basis. As for the salt.....taste what you are cooking! Salt accordingly.

I loved this recipe BUT again i did change it up a bit like i always seem to do with my recipes.
I used all the same ingredients, but only half the chicken stolk recommended and probably half the salt she used. I recommend salting the soup at the very end once you have blended the entire thing so you can salt to your liking. I also used 3 bunches of asparagus instead of 2. The soup had great consistency with only half the stock, i think if i would had used the recommended amount it would had ended up super watery and probably would not had liked it as much.
I didnt use goat cheese because i didnt have any, i used a monterey blend which worked well since it melted into the soup. Super good, everyone loved it! I will do again : Great recipe for a cold day.

Just got around to making this soup. Used freshly picked asparagus from our local farm store. Fabulous! Best of all ... no cream ... just veggies. Didn't have goat cheese but honestly it didn't need it. Oh, and as Anne fans know, watch the salt! I love her and her quirky personality but she uses too much salt.
