Although I didn't follow this recipe exactly, it was still delicious! I lived in Italy for almost 4 years and it tasted like something you could order at you local restaurant. I also added a heaping spoonful of the goat cheese to the dish and mixed it up BEFORE serving it- my husband loved it. Was also great with some Zin.

I'd like to start off saying that I love Giada's recipes and she rarely lets me down. This recipe, however, was a flop. I'm Sicilian and made this for my family for Valentine's Day. Let's just say my Sicilian nana did not even finish her portion of the pasta, and filled up on the focaccia bread instead.
The vinegar left a bad after taste, it's not very flavorful and lastly the recipe calls for way too much salt (and I love salt!. Radicchio is very expensive (in my area it was over $6 for a pound and not worth the added expense to make this dish. I will be deleting this from my recipe collection.

I loved this so much. I cannot find treviso, I live near near Giada and I am not sure where she found it. I used vegetable stock and cooked the radicchio for longer than she said to. I did not use lemon. This was good hot and did not seem like it would be good cold but it was so good. I served it with sandwiches like a pasta salad and got it rave reviews.

Everyone enjoyed this. No problem in finding treviso in our area.

I only made the sauce (chicken stock, balsamic vigenar, etc and combined it with chicken and pasta. I was cooking for a picky eater, so I didn't use some of the items (i.e. spinach and treviso.. Of what I made, it was great. I hate vinegar, but that sauce for the pasta tasted awesome!

For an italian dish, it was awful. Looked pretty on TV, reality, not good. It could have used lessed vinegar or omitting the vinegar altogether. I am Italian, and never came across a dish like this. Using the vinegar and lemon, wasn't, I feel a good combination. My family didn't like it at all. Waste of time and money. I usually like your recipes, but this one was a dissapointment...

My husband and I are meeting my cousin and her husband to see Cirque Du Soleil tonight. I just made this recipe and it is delicious.I am packing the pasta right now so we can have a picnic in the park before the show. It doesn't look as appealing as I would like it to be, but the flavors are great. The one thing I changed was the cheese, I used feta instead of goat cheese.

This dish was easy to make and great for leftovers! My family loves garlic so instead of halving it and discarding the garlic, I minced it and cooked it in the veggies. Yummy! I also have a picky eater in the family who claims to not like goat cheese and he didn't even notice it and said it was delicious! I do agree that it wasn't a pretty dish which is why I gave it four stars. Otherwise, it had fresh flavors and overall delicious! Thanks Giada!

    Hi Giada! Ladies and Gentlemen:
I did not go shopping for this recipe but, I dd watch Giada's show and today at the time.... you know... the time when you say...help! I need to vary my recipes! I just got into foodnetwork and printed this recipe.
Challenge. I did not have all the ingredients (remember I didnt go shopping for it
Here's a great twist to the recipe.
I boiled penne pasta as instructed. Did not have treviso or radicchio so I worked with spinach only (glad I did..no coloring added to my pasta. Sauteed with chicken broth, balsamic vinegar and pepper flakes (ran out of lemon juice too! Set aside.
Meanwhile, I wanted to add a protein..sooo, I sauteed chicken (only put salt and pepper until done. Added the wilted spinach mixture to it. Added the pasta and just a bit of the pasta water. Mixed well and pour on bowl. Added gorgonzola (that's what I had and parmesan cheese. Presto!
What a meal! It was delicous...my teenagers ate it all...mentioned this dish had a punch! (pepper flakes they liked and everybody ate the whole thing!
Great ginney pigs I have!...but they really loved it! And me too!
    Food for thought!
