I made a few changes such as low fat cream cheese and fat free half and half. The taste was great. I thought it was great, but my boyfriend thought is was too sweet. I definitely have a bigger sweet tooth than him. I would make this again, if I had a craving for sweet bananas.

The french toast, served with the bacon and hashbrowns from this episode was possibly the best breakfast I've ever eaten!

Love the Neely's, but these were mushy and there was way too much filling for the amount of bread. I tried to stuff it all in and the texture was just mush. The flavor was ok, not great, but the mush was hard to over come.

I made this recipe immediately after watching the show this morning for my boyfriend. He loved it! The bananas made it extra special. I added a little coconut rum to the banana mixture to give it a little kick, since I did not have rum extract. I also used wheat bread instead of french bread since did not have french bread on hand.

I will definitly make this recipe again.

I made several changes to the recipe, but the gist of it remains the same. I made a lower calorie version by using, instead of butter and sugar, 1/4 cup Da Vinci sugar free butter rum syrup and a couple of tablespoons of Splenda brown sugar blend. The cream/milk/egg sugar was "decolorized" a bit too. I used 3/4 cup 1% milk, 3/4 cup half and half (the real stuff, and 1/2 cup of the same Da Vinci syrup along with the eggs. With both the banana mixture and the milk mixture I used nutmeg instead of cinnamon. It gave the finished dish a delicious almost "egg noggy" taste. Oh, and I substituted low fat cream cheese too.

The Neelys are my favorite program on Food Network. It's apparent they love each other very much and enjoy each other's company in the kitchen. They always make me smile even when I've had a bad day. I hope the next time they're traveling that they visit my home town.

I made a slightly different version of this about 2 months ago, For sypup I used the butter, brown sugar, water and run extract. In the filling I added walnuts for an unpected crunch and vanilla extract for more flavor. Everyone loved it.

This french toast was very good. A tad too sweet for me, but still very good.

I hate french toast, the texture, the taste, everything. I have to say that this was the best french toast I have EVER had! When I saw the show this weekend I thought I would give french toast one last shot because you made it look so good. It was amazing! The only thing I did different from the recipe was add rum extract to the banana mixture. I could have sworn I saw you do it on the show but did not see it in the recipe. Great job guys, it was awesome!

This is yet another recipe I have tried of yours that came out magnificent! I couldn't wait to prepare it the following morning after watching your show. I used Italian bread b/c it was on sale that day. I use the confectioners sugar and prepared the brown sugar bacon and it all came together superbly!

Thank you for coming into my home with all the warmth and love the two of you show on T.V. I know it can't be easy but you guys make it seem so effortless to work together in the kitchen. My significant other and I love watching your show and we even get down and loving in the kitchen as well! We make a good team and you guys make us feel like what we are doing is great! Thanks for showing the love. Thanks for preparing new and different dishes for me to try on my family.

I ran out to buy everything for the breakfast after watching the episode and could hardly wait till morning to make it. It sure goes fast watching you guys in a half hour show in TV world. It took me two hours to do the entire breakfast in between a baby and two dogs running around. But my husband and I agree it was totally worth it. We both just melted into the french toast. It was awesome. We are always looking for new ways to make french toast and add things to it but this won us over for sure. I also just love watching the way you guys love eachother and how it comes through in everything you do together. Like every marriage there are issues but when you look at the both of your eyes you can really see the true love and admiration you each have for one another. I am in awe by it and love it and love watching you guys create. I record the show for my husband to watch and learn also.
