I have made this recipe many times. I cook it at an even lower temp than the recipe requires for a longer period of time. It's a winner! Going to try the crockpot idea tonight, thanks for the idea!

I cooked them in the crock pot to save time and the last hour added more bbq sauce and they turned out delicious. My 3 year old nephew even loved them and asked for seconds (which never happens!

I don't know if using country style ribs was the problem but the sauce was soupy and the ribs after 2 hrs were still not done, I will never ever make this again, horrible!

I've always smoked my ribs slowly basting and turning ever 1/2 hour in a smoker in my backyard - I made this recipe and now wonder why I wasted all that time. These ribs were such a hit with my college age son and his friends that I now have to quadruple the recipe every time I make it. The only change I made was after I parboiled I did a dry Jamacian style rub and then I also basted the ribs a few times during cooking. So easy and so delicious.

This was the first time I made spare ribs, they turned out perfect. The recipe was easy to follow. I also rubbed Paula Dean's season salt on the night before. Everyone at dinner loved them. With the leftovers I put them in a crock pot with Sweet Baby Ray's and they turn out even better the next day. Recommend this recipe to anyone.

I wanted to find a BBQ recipe that tasted like the real deal without having an all day prep and this is it. This recipe goes together quickly & easily. It has quickly become a favorite in our house. As recommended by another reviewer, I let it par boil 15-20 minutes and bake about 2hrs. I also double the recipe for the sauce so there is plenty for dipping once the ribs are served. For a more authentic flavor I also add a little liquid smoke to the sauce. The outcome is very pleasing.

I used beef country style ribs instead of the pork and followed the recipe as written. The beef came out so tender that it was easy to cut with a fork!! My daughter, who is a very picky BBQ eater, said that this was the best yet!! She's planning on shredding the left overs for BBQ sandwiches tomorrow!

I love this recipe. It was my first time making spare ribs so I was looking for one that wouldn't be too complicated and I found this one. If I wouldn't have been in a rush I they would have come out even better. Thanks!!!
