This was an amazing salmon cake. You really HAVE to add about 3T of the breadcrumbs to the salmon mixture otherwise these are WAY too loose of a mixture. Other than that, these are superb. The lemon makes it soooooo fresh tasting. I followed the recipe other than addingthe crumbs.

Delicious!! Kids loved it too!! Did use wild salmon - not a canned salmon fan - which I cooked prior to making the cake mixture. Based on the comments of others, I did refrigerate the cake mixture for about an hour prior to making the patties and dredging in breadcrumbs. Finished cakes were moist and very flavorful. Definitely adding this to the weekday dinner rotation!!

This has been my best appetizer yet. Family loves them and can't wait til I make them again. I didn't use potatos or canned salmon. I used some wild salmon I had in the freezer. Just perfect! Thank u! Great and easy recipe.

This is my favorite croquette recipe......I have tried many and this stands out above them all.
I did not use a large potato, just a small baked one.

I used our own canned salmon and had to add a couple tablespoons of bread crumbs to the mixture because it was a little too 'soupy'. Still, the result was delicious. I loved the tang from the lemon zest and I had alderwood smoked bacon that was perfect in this recipe. Finally, a delicious, easy, foolproof recipe for canned salmon.

Followed the recipe but after reading all the reviews, refrigerate before forming into patties.
Worked out perfectly. My family loved it. A keeper for sure. Will definitely make it over and over again.

Followed the recipe exactly. Good but could use more flavor. Also, the patties were wet and they fell apart.

These were awesome. I followed the recipe exactly... no need to improvise. The kids loved them and they tasted great to the adults too. I grew up on fresh salmon and never tasted canned salmon until recently. I will make these again and again.
