where does the slicer/chopper that sandra lee used to dice the onion and the potatoes for the farmhouse hash come from? what name brand and where to find?
the piece on top was greenish and the chopped veggies fell right down into the
compartment under the blade.

My husband absolutely adored this and my little one enjoys it in a breakfast burrito.

I saw the segment of Sandra Lee's TV show several weeks ago when she made this recipe. I always thought of hash as corned beef hash, but this looked really easy and good. When I made it the first time, I tweaked it a little: used zesty sausage instead of sweet, pre-cooked the potatoes in the microwave for 2-3 minute, & made scrambled eggs instead of poached. It was delicious. Just made it a second time, using fresh rosemary. This recipe is a a winner. Good leftovers too!

I used hot breakfast sausage instead of the Italian sausage and it was still good, but next time I won't use the hot. There was plenty of heat from the spices. I never thought I would like the poached egg on top but I wanted to add another... Great flavors and easy to put together.

I made this for breakfast today (Sunday and the family loved it. The prep work is a little tedious but the end result is worth it. I made the recipe exactly as written with the exception of using a little seasoned salt for seasoning and it was delicious. Overall reaction was that this was a keeper. The addition of the extra vegs to the hash gives is a really nice flavor. Will definately make this again. Thanks, Sandy.

It is really hard to please every member of the family when it comes to breakfast. Husband doesn't like eggs, daughter wants potatoes, son wants eggs, eggs, eggs and I want to make sure they all leave with a hearty breakfast that doesn't break the bank. I watched this episode and knew it would be a winner. I had never made poached eggs before and liked that Sandra made sure to explain how to make sure the egg was done. I added extra carrots and then omitted the celery to please my family. This recipe would easily change to feed more or less people. EVERYONE loved it, asked for seconds and my son looked at me and asked if I could make it again tomorrow!! This will become a regular in our house. I like to balance both of Sandra's shows by chopping a bunch of carrots and onions and keeping them in the freezer so that I can really speed these kind of recipes up. This one was easy and cheap. Can't get better than that!!!

This recipe was well worth it. Even though I doubled the recipe and put two eggs on top, it was still barely enough to feed my teen-age step son and hungry husband. However they raved about it and it will definitely become a staple in my house!

I used pork breakfast sausage instead of Italian sausage but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. It was delicious, filling, easy and inexpensive. And loaded with veggies, too. My husband & I both loved it - we'll definitely have this often. Thanks, Sandra!

The combination of flavors in this dish topped off with the poached egg was a BIG hit at my house. It had just enough of a "kick" from the red pepper flakes to wake the senses! This will be our breakfast meal at least once a week! LOVED IT!
