First time making brownies that were not from a box and they were fantastic. The whole family enjoyed them. My daughter took some to school and her classmates enjoyed them as well. Gracias Aaron por la receta!

I needed to whip up a dessert to take to a potluck with some "foodie" friends. I chose this recipe because 1 minimal ingrediants (I had everything 2 everything was mixed in one pot (easy clean up 3 not a traditional brownie (spices. The brownies were super easy to make. And they were a hit with the crowd. They were crispy on the outside and fudgy on the inside. Also, the cayenne isn't really noticable when chewing, it's all chocolate and cinnamon, but there is a trace of warmth at the end. I would definitely make these again.

These brownies were my first venture into baking with cayenne pepper. They were fabulous. I made them for "game night" with the teenagers of our mentoring program. They were the first of the five cookies/brownies on the cookie trays to disappear. Rave reviews from the students as well as the adults.
This is a brownie that stands on it's own either dressed up with other ingredients or let as is.

I wanted a dense non-cake like brownie made from cocoa cause it was the only chocolate in the house and this was exactly what I got! I took out the spices to make a regular brownie and they came out prefect. Next time I will use some chocolate chips or chunks to up the chocolate in this recipe. I will most definitely use this recipe again and again!

As soon as the most recent food network magazine came out, I could not wait to try this recipe. And I was not disappointed. It is by far , the best brownie I have ever had. It is moist, with just a hint at the end of a little warmth from the chilli powder. The chilli powder really brings out the great notes of the chocolate, and yet it is very subtle. Most of my friends and family that tried this couldn't even identify that there was chilli powder in it. I most admit, I have been hooked on the chocolate/chilli combination for a while now (my favorite candy that really satisfies my sweet tooth is a dark chocolate bar with chilli , and this brownie knocks it out of the park for me. I can tell , I will be making this recipe for a long time to come. Thanks for the great recipe Aaron.

I enjoyed the cinnamon and cayenne flavors and the texture was fine but I would have liked them to be more chocolatey.

I didn't have unsalted butter so I used real salted butter. I also added 2 squares of Mexican Hot Chocolate to the Melted butter and left out the chilli powder then sprinked pecans on top. They came out great!

OMG! These are the best brownies ever! I took them to work and everyone raved about them...and they were all gone. I also made them for my family and they wiped them out. My mother said they were the best brownies she EVER had and she's 76 years old! Thanks Aaron...what a hit!
