I am going to make these for my daughter's basketball team, when we have them over for the team weekly dinner and it is our turn to host them two weeks from now. My daughter is a fan of Mexican food, and since we live in a town not known for Mexican or even Tex-Mex cuisine, she wants to be able to introduce her friends to authentic Mexican food. I will let you know how it turns out. Maybe I should have a trial run tomorrow (more for us to eat as a family : . Thanks Paula, I love your show!

I made these tacos today. I did not expect them to be so good especially after I added the creme. After frying them, the chicken tasted so delicious. I plan to make these again.

My husband usually will not eat chicken, but he enjoyed these fried tacos. Instead of fresh tomatoes I used a can of stewed tomatoes, I did not follow the exact recipe, I did not find it until after I had cooked them, I was in such a hurry to try them. I forgot about the bread crumbs and cream. I used flour tortillas instead of corn. I will definitely make this again. Next time I will follow the recipe to a tee, even though the first try was pretty good too!!!!

my family loved this recipe! I knew as soon as i saw this come together on the show i was going to love it! Normally i"m not a fan of doing mexican with chicken but this one completely changed my mind! The red sauce was delicious although i did omit the cloves and subsituted with a half of a package of taco seasoning instead. For the filling i omitted the cream and bread crumds and instead added a half a package of cream chesse. The only thing i didnt like was the oil became dark quickly due to the mixture and on a few of the chicken fell out of the ends. As i read some of the other comments i noticed one person refrigerated the mixture first. If i chose next time to not follow the exact directions I will let the chicken mixture cool first. All in all they were unlike anything I've ever tasted. Crunchy, delicious, and creamy, my family just couldnt get enough. Instead of the tomatillo salsa i made a creamy avacado dippping sauce. Mrs. Finch can burn honey and I hope she gets a show soon! This is also a great one to do for parties!

I made this dish the following night it aired on tv. The woman chef from Mexico is fantastic, she does need a show. I made the tacos the first night, and oops I forgot to add the bread crumbs. That explains why it was a little runny and the oil splashed a little. However, I used the left over chicken the next day and made Chicken Enchiladas. WOW!!!! My husband said they were the best enchiladas he has ever had.. This is coming from a husband who frequents those hole in the wall restaurants in ELA!!! Wonderful dish. I am making the chicken tonight for enchiladas.. Hint: just by a can from the market, and add cheese...

I dreamt about this dish last night after I made this for lunch- incredible! I did not add cloves or peppercorns, as I did not have however. This was a great meal and my kids loved it. I will make this again and again!

I just had to made this after seeing Paula's reaction when she ate it on the show. I've never seen anything like it. Almost a full minute of silence punctuated by yummy noises as they STUFFED THEIR FACES. I want to go to there!
So far I've made the salsa verde, which was mild and full of flavor, and the chicken filling for the tacos. The taste was amazing but there was no heat. So I sprinkled some chipotle powder in after I blended in the cream and bread crumbs. Since I'm making this for tomorrow, I let the pan cool so I could put the filling into a plastic container. It was so good that I actually licked the pan clean. My mouth is all aglow.
Trying to make the dish more lo-carb, I'm going to use lo-carb flour tortillas and I'm going to bake them in the oven after spraying them with cooking spray. I was also thinking about putting them in a baking dish and pouring some of the salsa verde over the top and then maybe some jack cheese, you know - enchilada-style.
I can't wait for my plantains to be ripe enough so I can try the rice dish too.

I made these tacos Saturday and I made two different sauces to dip them in and they were a hit. My baby brother and his new bride came over to try them. I ask him if liked them and he said he had already eaten five that is how much he liked them. My husband wants me to make them again this weekend! I thought the chicken would jump in the oil like it usually did, but not these; it was simple, quick and delicious. I am Mexican and I love this recipe! Viva Patricia Jinich !!!! Bring her back again Paula!!!! Love you and your show!!!!
