I used Garlic mashed potatoes and chopped regular onion because I didn't have green onion and chopped up well cooked bacon and I cooked a soft yolk egg to have on the top.... ..... Yummmm it was delicious and turned out perfect.... I made extra to have for lunch at work tomorrow.... Thank you for a great recipe.... I have saved it and will be sharing.....

We have been making these for years. Use two eggs to help hold them together. My wife will add some pancake mix to the batter also. We enjoy these for breakfast instead of hashbrowns.

Very delicious and perfect use of leftover mash potatoes. I always look at the reviews before I try out a recipe. I saw the review where the chef says the pancakes wouldn't stay together in the frying pan. Well, it happened to me as well BUT only on the first batch. I brushed an egg wash on the cakes then put them in the breadcrumbs (regular store bought. used what I had and the second batch came out perfect. I also used blue cheese crumbles & cheddar for that bite or taste that another chef said was missing. If there was a side recipe or suggestion for a dip or sauce for the pancakes this would be a 5 star recipe.

I saw Paula making this receipt on her show and thought these would be delicious. Turns out I couldn't keep them together enough to fry them and I had to keep putting more Panko to help with the process which made them taste very bread crumb like instead all the rich flavor of cheese and sour cream, etc. Sorry Paula, I really admire you but this one was definely not a hit for me or my family.

Made this and whole family loved it!! Modified it by baking at 425 instead of tying it and used spray butter on both sides before baking so it would be crispy. Turned them over halfway and they turned out delicious!!! Will make again!

DELISH!!! Perfectly served alongside my Pea Soup, a food marriage made in heaven! I used the leftover mashed potatoes from a family gathering. My 5 year old LOVED them and my I thought my husband would eat them until he exploded! A make again for sure.

I wonder why Panko bread crumbs are necessary. Doesn't everyone save the heels from loafs of bread and slices that were accidentally left out too long? Put them in a net fruit bag in a warm dry place, like the top of the refrigerator, for crisp bread crumbs or cubes. For a consistency like flour, grate the bread with a metal box grater. For cubes, cut with a knife. This way you can get the preferred bread, such as whole wheat or multigrain.

I thought these were very light thanks to the Panko. However, I was hoping for a bit more taste. I did not taste the cheese at all (will add more or sharper cheddar next time. But held together amazingly well and very easy to make. Texture was very good and it is a good compliment to any breakfast.

This was so easier to put together with results that come out like it took longer. These are a favorite in my house anytime I make them!
