The lamb was delicious. Tasted just like a gyro. I used dried oregano and dried rosemary instead of fresh. Grilling wasn't an option, so I just made small patties and baked them for 20 minutes at 375. I like my meat well done, but they weren't dry at all. I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 b/c the sauce didn't really work for me. It seemed like it was missing something but I couldn't figure it out. The sauce was just ok.

Tasty in deed. My husband and I love Greek food. Now i can impress him by serving it at home instead of going.

Oh my gosh so delicious! I made the lamb exactly as written, except I made it into patties and baked them in a hot oven, since we don't have a grill. I served it with garlic roasted cauliflower and baba ganoush, and my husband turned to me and said in an unusually serious voice, "You can make this ANY TIME YOU WANT." Hehehe...

I just made the tzatzii sauce for a gyro I plan to make and it is really good! I do not like greek yogurt or cucumbers but for some reason they make for a great combination!

OK so I was a little sceptical about this recipe as I have never had lamb before. It was awesome! I have to admit i did not make the tzatziki sauce. I bought Trader Joe's and it was awesome. The only other thing I did different is made a salad of romaine, heirloom tomatoes (mini- also from Trader Joe's and some crumbled feta (no dressing. The lamb was made exactly as written. All combined in a toasted pita (brush with olive oil, salt, and pepper before grilling was absolutely delicious! My husband said he would have these over regular tacos any day! Thanks Sunny you are awesome!
