Pretty good, but a previous reviewer is correct... double the non-meat ingredients or it will be bland bland bland!

First of all DON'T follow the recipe listed it is completely different from the show. In whatching the show this is what I came up with: 1/2 gal water, 40# ground beef, 2 C minced dried onions (gives the dish a completely different flavor than raw onion, 1 cup salt, 2Tbs granulated garlic, 1Tbs Crushed Red pepper, 1 Tbs Cumin, 2 T black pepper, 1 cup Paprika, 1 cup Chili Powder. First mix 10# of the meat with the water, then add rest of the meat and mush it all together. Cover and cook over medium to low heat for 6 to 7 hours stiring every so often. Mix in spices. Chili meat is now complete.
In a seperate pot add 2 15oz cans of tomato sauce (Hunts and 2 15oz cans of Chili Beans (It looks like he used Bushes Chili beans, these were the only beans that I could fine with a yellow label and 4 - 6 cups of the chili meat. Simmer for about 30 mins. serve

Wow, absolutely the worst recipe for chili I've ever seen. Believe me, I don't have to make it to know it's gonna be BAD...One star for the fact that it contained ground beef.

This should be named 'The New Brides' Chili'. It is without a doubt the worst concoction ever to be called chilli. Raw tomato sauce? You boil the meat for 5 hrs and then add it to raw tomato sauce and the spices? This is a joke, right?

I grew up eating Eischen's chicken, so I knew their chili would be good. However, someone in the Food Network kitchens miscalculated the recipe when scaling it down from bulk quantitiy. If you want decent chili either use 5 lbs of ground beef or double the non-meat ingredients. If you don't, you will have really bland chili.
