They were a hit at Thanksgiving dinner. Made them in the shape of turkeys and pumpkins, of course. Also added sanding sugar, lovely. A great recipe for a first-time baker. Makes for good practice for making them even in thickness, too. I'm happy I listened to previous reviewers, please add that extra 1/2 cup of sugar.

Really good if you add more sugar. I added just over a 1/2 cup more sugar and they were perfect. Also, I didn't have time to chill the dough, so I mixed and dropped them on a pan and they turned out really good at a total cook time 12 minutes for large cookies.

These cookies weren't that great. They could of been sweeter.

These cookies were amazing! They were easy to make, my three year old helped. We added a half a cup of light brown sugar as an extra touch, it made them taste even better! We used a particular butter called Lurpak, which is made in Denmark, and it made them more rich. We also frosted them with Betty Crocker chocolate frosting .

MADE A BATCH OF THE SUGAR COOKIES --FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS ROLLED INTO BALL AND FLATTENED A LITTLE AND BAKED AS SOON AS THEY COME OUT OF THE OVEN I PUT A CANDY KI IN THE MIDDLE. THEY LOOK LIKE THE PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES I MAKE WITH TNE KISS IN THE MIDDLE. THE ONLY THING I WILL DO DIFFERENT NEXT TIME IS ADD EXTRA SUGAR TO THE RECIPE SO THE COOKIE IS SWEETER. DELISH------------------------------THE BAKER FROM --DAHLONEGA GA

I loved these cookies! I added a half cup of sugar to the recipe since I read some of the comments on here and they came out perfectly! I rolled the dough into balls and pressed them into some cinnamon and sugar and they were delish! I think that the people that rated these poorly didn't follow the recipe or something because these are the BEST!!
