    The cheese sauce was very creamy but too bland for my tastes, so I added salt, pepper, a bit of hot sauce, and some paprika -- basically, the same sauce I make for mac & cheese. I subbed shallots for the onion because I like the more subtle flavor, and used 3 broccoli crowns. The finished product was wonderful. Next time, I might use extra sharp cheddar for more of a kick.

    I thought this was a quick, easy and tasty dish. I added cooked macaroni so it was like traditional baked mac 'n' cheese and it was delicious with the broccoli!

    Don't even bother with this! I'd much rather have steamed broccoli with cheese sauce over the top. This was a real disappointment!

    Didn't care for the flour in this dish made it taste doughy. I believe without the flour it would have been delicious or maybe less flour. I would try it again this way.

    I don't know what went wrong, but the sauce was bland and yucky (despite using SHARP cheddar. The next day, the cracker crust was mushy. We'd rather eat plain steamed broccoli.
