OMG! What did I do wrong? The taste was good.....followed the recipe....I did use wax paper instead of parchment ( I have sub this before in other things with no problem I could NOT get it off the paper....should I have sprayed it? If no one else had an issue, it must be me....but I would NOT recomend this.

I think everything you make is fabulous! You are my number one source for recipes. This is wonderful. I will be giving this to my coworkers as a gift for the holidays! As for June Clever's comment, very inappropriate you should "Ask Aida" for directions on how not to overcook. Claire you are wonderful and I give you 5 STARS!!!

I must be "rowing in this boat" by myself as the other reviews gave this recipe high marks. I followed the recipe exactly. I do not know if it seemed overdone or if the expresso powder made it taste more bitter, so I defnitely would not make this again. But, it could be worth a try to eliminate the expresso and adjust the sugar. Sorry. But...."Ask Aida" is my new found show on FOODTV. I think she has a great style and comfortable personality with easy to make and follow recipes. I give HER 5 stars!

LPBatts2011, I would think that you'd be fine as long it's a strong flavored coffee. I've substituted on other espresso dishes with extremely strong coffee and it's worked out fine. The key is to finding a strong coffee that is roasted. An Italian roast would be perfect. If you can't find Espresso Powder in the grocery store, Williams-Sonoma sells it online and in their stores and it's under $10 and gives you enough so you can do a decent amount of this recipe, which I'm sure you'd want to after trying it. :

This is sooooooo good! It was very easy to make and even my husband who's a fussy eater loved it! It's so incredibly light! I'll be making another batch in a couple of days. It's relatively guilt-free as dessert, too! Everyone, make this!

These are like the best, most delectable, treats I have had in a dogs age, and I live to cook/bake! Simple to make, few ingredients [most of which we have in the pantry] light, perfect mocha flavor, easy, and a whole lot lower cal than many desserts, treats, etc. In fact, I would say the only bad thing about these............ya just can't stop eating them!!!! This recipe inspires me to come up with a whole lot of other flavor combos as well. This Claire Robinson is a S-T-A-R and glad I caught her show by accident..........she has some N-E-W and D-I-F-F-E-R-E-N-T ideas......three cheers to her!
