After taking one bite, my boyfriend said, "Please make this again." I made my own tortilla chips then crunched them up. Instead of water, I used chicken broth. The sauce never tightened up, but the crusting hoagies I used soaked all the juice in and made for a very flavorful mess! This smelt so good and tasted even better.

cheap, flavorful, and filling. Didn't use ground veal. Served over whole wheat cheddar-garlic loaf from local bakery. Served with Avacado and crumbled Panela cheese. Good. Will try serving over Mexican/Spanish rice next time.

I have to admit, I wasn't expecting it to taste so good (when I think meatballs; I think Italian, not Mexican! This was delicious; and my family also loved it. I did make some small changes b/c of what I had on hand. I used a mixture of ground turkey, sirloin and pork, Chipotle Chile powder mixed with a little plain chili powder (so it wouldn't be too hot in place of Ancho and I only had hot dog buns that I toasted under the broiler...so good!

This has become one of my go to dinners. The whole family loves it. I have substituted ground turkey few times, and they still come out delicious.

Made this for dinner, it was fantastic! Followed the recipe and it could not have been easier. I did however omit the veal and instead used 1/2lb each of the pork and beef. Overall, an excellent dinner!

My family really enjoyed this recipe. I did use ground turkey instead of the meatloaf mix and I made the meatballs in the morning and then just rewarmed them in the tomatoes before dinner. Excellent and will make again!
