I was very impressed with this simple side dish. I didn't have any fresh broccoli in the house so I used frozen and steamed it in the microwave first. Family loved it. Will make it again very soon. THANK-YOU Paula!

This dish was excellent, my daughter requested this 3 nights in a row. The lemon and zest with the red pepper flakes and garlic on the broccoloni was a fabulous combination.
Elizabeth you most likely burned the garlic which is a very bitter/sour taste. Garlic should not be cooked on high heat and needs to be watched.

I recommended this to my mom for a dinner party awhile back (without trying it first. She said it was a hit. For Thanksgiving this year, she brought made this dish again and I loved it. Will definitely be making. It is very nice and light and gives a great flavor to the broccoli. We are not fans of nuts, so we ommitted those.

This is the first time I prepared this, so maybe I did something wrong, but it was not a hit with me. I am usually a broccoli lover, an olive oil lover and garlic lover. However, I found cooking the minced garlic 3 min was too long...it seemed to get crunchy. But overall, the taste for me was a bit sour. Maybe it was the lemon.....? that made it sour......? I just did not find the whole combination to go together, and I am a vegetable lover. A few of my kids ate this and my husband really liked it....but he admitted to liking plain broccoli better. I just feel this dish was created for color and smell, but not for taste. I did not even finish mine on my plate....again a sour flavor rather than a natural or herbed flavor. My youngest (who didnt like this, but loves broccoli called it "too sweet".....which I think she meant sour. Overall I do not recommend this. I am so glad I did not cut up all my fresh broccoli and ruin it with this "topping".
