I agree with the review written by mfair5. I also made this recipe for the first time in 2009 and have not used anything else since. Makes a beautiful turkey - looking forward to using this brine again this Thanksgiving!

I saw the original episode in 2009 that Alex shared this amazing recipe. I have not used anything else since and my turkey is always the very best. There is nothing better. Delicious, succulent and savory! A MUST one of a kind Thanksgiving in your mouth - every single bite!

This is the most amazing brine ever!!! Our family will never make a nonbrined turkey ever again! It makes the turkey super moist and flavorful.

This brine was excellent. For Thanksgiving I used this brine for 2 turkeys one was fried the other roasted. My mother had this look as if I was in over my head because 2 turkeys were going to be ruined. LOL I was amazed at the outcome for both, my family was very pleased. I made some adjustments to the recipe for a turkey breast last week and again it was very good. Thanks Alex for an easy way to prepare a turkey.

Made recently for a Christmas dinner party. Never brined before and was a little nervous about the soy, honey, and molasses, BUT, it was delicious, moistest turkey I have ever eaten. Drippings made great gravy as well. Will use again and again.

Great brine -- not my first brining attempt, but definitely the best ever made. We brined the Thanksgiving turkey, then drained well, stuffed with paper towels, wiped very dry. Then we fried the turkey in a turkey fryer. Once removed from the fryer, sprinkled lightly with salt and pepper. Poor turkey -- it was naked of its skin before slicing and placing on the platter. Guests "fought" over who got to eat the skin. Also, we froze the carcass and two weeks later made an absolutely incredible turkey vegetable soup. Excellent brine and will definitely make again!

I brined a turkey for the first time this Thanksgiving and took the turkey to a party and it was the best turkey anyone ever tasted.
I will never make another turkey without brining it with this recipe.
The best turkey ever.
