YUMMY! Loved this. Based on the reviews, I reduced the amount of orange zest and nutmeg, I used ground sirloin (Because it it what I had, and used half sour cream and half Greek yogurt in the potatoes. Thought it was amazing. Thank you, Rachael!

My husband and I liked it a lot. Really different! I agree you can add or change some of the ingredients to suit and/or what you have on hand.

My husband and I love this recipie! I did make a few changes to make it kosher. I used almond milk and non-dairy butter for the sweet potatoes and sprinkled non-dairy cheese on top. I also had to skip the chili peppers and orange zest because I didn't have any on hand. We didnt miss it. Likee some others, I added a can of beans.

This was ridiculously delicious. The chili is good on its own even.

Very impressed with this recipe! I used ground chicken instead and it tasted great. I also added a can of 6-bean blend and 1 cup of frozen corn. I didn't have any peppers on hand but I had some roasted red peppers so I cut them up and added them in and it was delicious! Like a previous reviewer I added non-fat greek yogurt to the sweet potatoes and it gave it a wonderful tang and a major boost in protein. The one thing I would change for next time would be to omit the cheese on top as it just adds extra fat and the recipe is delish without it!

My husband and I loved this. I did not add the orange zest because I forgot to buy the orange, but I did add 1 can of drained kidney beans and some frozen corn to the chili mixture. Will be making this again, heck I may just make the chili part for the superbowl this weekend!

This was filling and delicious! I made half of the recipe, since there are only two of us, and there was enough for a third helping. I didn't use the sour cream in the sweet potatoes or the cheddar, and only added a scant half teaspoon of orange zest. Absolutely amazing. With the omissions I mentioned before, this meal would be just fine for people counting their calories.

Fabulous recipe! I have made this several times for my family and friends. HUGE HIT! I add kidney beans, will try corn next time as some are suggesting. I can't recall how long it took to prepare as I am typically preparing several meals at one time once I get started in the kitchen!

Great recipe generally! Next time leaving out the orange zest - it was too overwhelming for me. We added a can of kidney beans and used chipotle and cayenne peppers. We also left out the cream and simply made the potatoes with some stock and Earth Balance. Since we have some non-dairy folks in our house we substituted daiya cheddar style cheese. Also it did take longer than 30 mins... although we were handing out candy too so the whole process took about an hour.

will definitely be making this again! i too agree with one of the other reviewers, next time i'll add some corn to the chili mix. i used a pablano pepper instead of a hotter one just for my taste and i also left the sweet potatoes and chili separate and omitted the broiler step. i had made enough to have leftovers and just didn't want anything getting too mushy in the fridge together! was a little unsure at first but the sweetness of the sweet potatoes and the mild spiciness of the chili were an excellent compliment to each other. great fall-time meal, nice and hearty but light and healthy!
