Absolutely superb. We served it on Christmas Eve in small glass cups from chafing dish to family and everyone was very impressed.

LOVED IT! We made this for an after-Christmas Christmas party for 25 people. We doubled it and had just enough left over for a bowl the next day. This soup was by far the biggest hit of the evening and has just become a family staple!

Made this for my birthday party and it was a huge hit. As others said I upped the amount of bacon. Next time I'm going to double (possibly even triple the recipe and make it as a main course.

HUGE hit! Super easy and so tasty, everyone wanted more!! I doubled it for 40 people, used 4 slices of bacon, but otherwise followed the recipe. I didn't have enough shot glasses, so I bought 4oz votives at Crate & Barrel and they were perfect for presentation. I will try this for a dinner party as the soup course in larger bowls.

This is delicious and super easy. I used an immersion blender instead of transferring in stages to a food processor, and it was much less complicated. Also, I used 4 slices of bacon instead of 1/2 slice and added a drizzle of truffle oil at the end; I've also made it strictly by the recipe but the additions make the flavor more interesting to me. Yum!

This was a great winter recipe. I ended up adding a whole piece of bacon. I also used half and half vs. heavy cream. No extra salt was needed. I served this to a 30 person holiday gathering. It worked out perfectly!

A friend of mine made this last night for a progressive dinner party. They were awesome! This is our party group, so we all thought they were some kind of alcoholic shot when he was pouring them!!!! It was an awesome surprise!
