Yes, the cookies are flat. However, that does in no way, deter from the taste. These are my new favorite. I could not be happier with how they turned out.

I also thought these looked and sounded great. When I made the dough, chilled over night, then baked them I was so disappointed! They were so flat I was sure I made a mistake in the mixing. But after checking other people had the same results. I emailed the magazine but just got a general response message. I hope they check this recipe soon, the filling was great and I would try them again.

My cookies taste good and I like the filling but they got very big and very flat too! I refrigerated the dough for 2 hours. Maybe overnight would have been better?

My cookies came out very flat . For this reason, I wish that I had made my logs about 1 inch in thickness to yield a smaller cookie. As it is, I've got cookies that are about 3 inches in diameter. A smaller cookie would be better for the richness of the cookie and filling. I'm going to make these again with the adjustments andwill post a new review later.
