Really loved this. Husband enjoyed and he is hard to please with desserts. Had no trouble with chips not melding in, but I think I overdid it a bit with the lemon. lol it was almost a lemon bar.But OMG it was so good! operative word..WAS! lol

It has many of my husband's favorite flavors ie butterscotch and condensed milk. I got
distracted and forgot the chips, sprinkled about half a bag on the hot crust and finished
the recipe. There was just enough butterscotch flavor and it actually turned out well.
I might suggest using the non-stick foil for easy release. Will make again.

These cookies were a hit with my son's unit when he was over in Kuwait. It was one of the many bar cookies I got off of Food networks website.

These bars were way to sweet and extremely clongy. The flavor of the butterscotch was overpowering and the chips did not melt into the crumble. The recipe is easy, but I would not waste my money to make these.

Very yummy and easy to make. I followed the recipe except I reduced the butter to 1 stick.

A total hit! My husby claims they're the best dessert I've made so far. I had a bit of trouble with the foil so I might try making these without the foil next time.

These were wonderful! I'm sort of new to baking, but each batch gets better and stays together better (practice makes perfect!. I use parchment paper instead of the foil; there's no problem getting the finished product out of the pan, nor is there a big mess to clean up after. My husband asks me to make these all the time. I'd defintely recommend them. My only complaint is they're kind of time consuming & difficult to prepare since I don't have a food processor, but the result is defintely worth all of the work!
