I had the same problem where I couldn't roll out the dough. I ended up making drop cookies. I love the texture and the taste and they came off the pan so easily! I am not sure the shape is conducive to dipping in chocolate sauce, but I plan to have a bowl and spoon of sauce for drizzling.

I followed the original recipe and they came out great. I did zest 2 limes and 2 lemons so they would equal the orange zest. Couldn't roll out the dough but used a cookie press and they came out great. My husband and son loved them. They had a lot of flavor so I was glad that I had doubled some of the zest. This recipe is a keeper.

You post recipes with wrong, left-out, or disproportionate ingredients, erase member comments, & who knows what else. Where is the quality control? Folks watch the shows, get online to get the recipes, then see the crummy reviews. What a disappointment for all the viewers/members/chefs alike.

I agree with some of the other reviewers that these cookies are very simple to put together, but the lime zest resulted in an extremely odd flavor for me....I was not overly fond of the texture either. I do think these might be nice with no zest added (or maybe just the orange zest and dipped in a little dark chocolate, but a one star rating for the recipe as written.

This quick and easy treat is a perfect taste to accompany tea or coffee and you probably have all the ingredients on hand. We love it for that just right sweet touch after a meal or with a coffee break. Refreshing, sweet treat alone or company worthy with a dipping sauce.

didn't have the problems others did. tried using the pastry bag, but found it easier to roll, especially since i wanted to finish before my 2 yr. old and 4 month old woke from their naps. rolled very quicky and smothly, just make sure you don't handle too much. baked in less time, but my oven runs hot. very nice taste. simple, but lovely. looked like the picture. in my opinion, this isn't the type of cookie you make for looks, so if that's what you're going for, maybe try a different recipe? or dress them up somehow. taste good with the leftover dulce de leche i had from the spicy chocolate cookies, and probably great with chocolate, but i think i like them plain the best.

I was a little nervous after reading all of the negative reviews. However, my cookies came out delightful. They are EXTREMELY easy to make- only a couple of minutes. I decided only to do the lemon and orange zest... I think the orange is better. As for the people who had problems with the dough, I don't know what happened. Perhaps you under mixed? I definitely worked with cold, unlined cookie sheets and had no problems piping from a ziploc bag. I did roll out my last two because I broke a hole in the plastic and that worked fine too. Once cooled, I dipped them in a simple ganache. They look stunning and taste like Pepperidge Farm orange milanos. Yum. I forgot to rotate my pans so my edges and bottoms are a little overdone, but when I do them again I'll pay more attention and I'm sure they'll be perfect. Thanks for a simple yet lovely recipe!

I give this recipe ONE star for workability but FIVE stars for taste. When I saw it, I knew I wanted to make it, but what a disappointment when I actually did. After reading the reviews, I can now understand that it wasn't just me. There has to be a mistake in some of the ingredients. It was a batter, definitely not a workable dough. I make MANY cookies at this time of year and consider myself a good baker, but this one had me shaking my head. Since I knew I couldn't roll it into a rope, I made a drop cookie out of it. I also, didn't divide it into three parts..there wasn't enough batter for that, so I just used the orange zest in this one, and will use the lemon and lime when the recipe is corrected. Will you notify your members when you do? It may not look like much, but it tastes GREAT!

These were a complete failure. Finally formed a rope by adding more flour and rolling in flour. Cut into small pieces and 2" pieces. They spread all out of the pan and into the oven. I was disappointed as I love citrus flavored cookies.

I don' t know if it's because of climate differences (I am writing this in December in New England and maybe I don't keep the house all that warm, but I could make the rope and then cut it into 2" pieces wiith no problem. However, using a pastry bag would have been difficult as I definitely had a dough, not a batter. Perhaps the recipe could be amended yet again to give the 2 options (if too soft to make rope, use pasry bag.

I gave the recipe 5 stars because not only are the cookies delicious (and they do remind me of langues de chat once baked, but they are a snap to make.
