I made these for a cookie swap and they were by far the worst cookie recipe I have ever made. The recipe was lackluster, at best.

People it's the dough that doesn't work...rather than throwing a fit..make your own cookie dough, it works for me......and I personally don't care if it falls apart if it's sweet I'll eat it.

Terrible I can't believe that you would have this on your website. This is the worst thing I've ever tried. Please remove this recipe. I like Sandra Lee but this is not a credit to her name.

The recipe calls for cookie dough "at room temperature," which means it should be no warmer than 60-65 degrees (the standard definition of "room temperature" for butter. If the dough is too warm, the cookies won't hold their shape when they bake, just like with homemade cookie dough made with too-soft butter. That's baking 101, and it is an execution error, not a recipe error.
If the dough is kept at the proper temperature and the cookie ball size is kept to one inch or smaller, the recipe works just fine. Let's not forget that baking is an exact science. Besides, I'm sure the Food Network staff would have killed this recipe prior to broadcast if they found a problem with it when they tested it.

After reading ratings on these cookies, I decided I would not put the peppermint extract in the cookie. I only put the candy in the cookie dough and that was it. I was planning on making a peppermint frosting to add the flavor. My cookie still came out as flat as everyone said they would. They taste good, and the frosting is really yummy. I have an 11 month old, so I don't have much time to make my dough from scratch. Take the recipe for what it is; quick and easy.

I looked forward to serving these beautiful snowballs, but after 3 to 5 minutes mine flattened into pancakes. I agree with everyone else...either take the recipe off or give us a foolproof recipe.

I have tried twice to review this recipe but the site would not accept it. I will try one more time. These were flat as the other reviewers indicated they would be, but the taste is wonderful! My husband loves them.

I can't believe that you haven't taken this off your site - it the cookie doesn't hold it's shape!!! There are other reviews that indicate this is not a good recipe - take it off.
